Life-Enriching Education

How would our world look like if our schools and kindergartens were based on dialogue and mutual understanding
Marshall Rosenberg dreamed about such a world and worked intensely by sharing Nonviolent Communication with people working in education.
He wrote:
“Life-Enriching Education: an education that prepares children to learn throughout their lives, relate well to others, and themselves, be creative, flexible, and venturesome, and have empathy not only for their immediate kin but for all of humankind.”
How to make education a life-enriching experience for children and teenagers?
During this workshop we would like to support you in:
– finding your needs behind moralistic judgments you have about children or teenagers you teach,
– finding the needs in difficult messages you hear from your students or their parents.
Why?
Needs lay behind all human actions, that’s what motivates us. Understanding them can support us in building the bridge between us. This is where we all, regardless our age, gender, race, economical status, can meet.
For whom is this workshop?
– For all the people who work or would like to work in education.
– For all the people who would like to have more understanding of themselves and of others.
– For all the people who share with us the dream about the world in which we all matter.
