Description
Welcome to a series of online workshops on blind spots where you will learn how you can discover and embrace your hidden parts. It is an online workshop consisting of four parts.
Part 1 is about your dark blind spots.
Part 2 is about your bright blind spots.
Part 3 is about your dark and bright blind spots.
Part 4 is a follow up with practice and Q & A’s.
All four parts consist of theory and practical work in smaller groups. The workshops are based on Nonviolent Communication with inspiration from Integral Theory (the book Shadow Light by Keith Witt) and social psychology (the book The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidt). We will meet on Zoom and to participate you need access to the internet, microphone and webcam.
What will you learn
In this workshop series you will practice with others on models to discover your dark and your bright blind spots. After completing a workshop you will have access to a tool that you can use for the rest of your life. By yourself or with support of others you can potentially discover more and more of your hidden parts.
By using these processes, your self-perception and how others see you will become more and more consistent. If you use these processes effectively, misunderstandings between you and others will decrease and your relationships will improve. You will have more and more access to your inner capacity. You will potentially expand your comfort zone and live life more in tune with your dreams.
We have a tendency to look for problems and solutions outside ourselves. It is very difficult – if not impossible – to control outside events. On the other hand, we all have a potential to control how we respond to events in our environment. In this workshop series I assume that we have this choice and that we have the capacity to increase that choice.
In the weeks between the workshops you will be encouraged to work with a fellow participant. You will also have access to a practice space on Zoom every Saturday between the workshops at the same time.

Details about each part:
Part 1
All people have parts that we do not see and are aware of. Some of these parts are visible to others and others are not. Although we do not see these parts ourselves, we act on them. When this happens, our self-perception and our actions do not match. This will often result in misunderstandings, conflicts and other unwanted interactions with others and with ourselves.
Traits we don’t like, we tend to project on other people. For example, we may wonder why some people are so angry when we ourselves never are. We do not want to admit that we carry anger ourselves, so we project this anger on others. Others may perceive us as angry or passive aggressive and if they mention it, we tend to deny this and do not understand what they are talking about.

Part 2
In part 2 of this workshop series we take a closer look at our idols and heroes; people we look up to. We have a tendency to put people we admire on a pedestal. We think we could never do what they do or gain their knowledge and experience. In fact, our ability to see the greatness of others is a potential greatness within ourselves. We would not have the capacity to value what we see in others if we did not possess the same potential ourselves.

You will potentially expand your comfort zone and live life more in tune with your dreams.
Part 3
In part 3 in this workshop series, we take a closer look at both our dark and our bright blind spots. Sometimes judgements enter our minds; a mixture of that we see ourselves as better than others and that others are not living up to our expectations. Thoughts of “Wow, I’m so superior!” or “How difficult can it be?” or the like might pop up in our minds.
In both of these examples, we do not see all of ourselves. Those judgments block us from being aware of our blind spots. Instead of being in contact with our own challenges or our own greatness, thoughts of our own excellence or contempt for others emerge.

Part 4
Part 4 is a follow up workshop. We choose which parts we want to work with. There will be room for Q & A’s.
